How do I include images in posts?

If it's a picture that is already on the web, you will often be able to put it in your post using "img" tags. When you are writing a post, you will see a little box with "img" in it. You press this once, then put in the URL of the picture you want to include, then press the "img" button again.

You should end up with something like this:

This should then show inline in your post (you can check with the preview button before posting). Bear in mind that pictures won't always display because basically you're using the bandwidth of the site it is hosted on every time your post is viewed. Not everybody is happy about that and they may run scripts to prevent hotlinking and may even replace the image with some rude words.

We'll be moving over to a new board in the next few days anyway, so you'll be able to upload images directly.

Some of the best photos of the festival they are, mainly cos they have me in.

Some bloke who's bussiness card turned up in my wallet has now put some pics up on his website, http://www.thoshorton.co.uk which also has one of me (possibly why I have his card, I dunno) and I spotted clint from the forum in there as well. Hes got some really nice ones, lots and lots of really wide angle stuff which always pleases my eye.

Oh by the way, I think I ought to mention that you can now post pics (or indeed any other file) directly from your computer to the board now.

When you post, click the "Upload attachment" option. In the case of pictures, you'll also want to select the "Place inline" option (but please don't do that if it's mahoosive).

8th one down, aka DSCN0384 is a friend of mine. Taken around 6/6.30am at ID spiral? It's a nice photo of her, she looks very much like how she described she felt.
