any form of protesting is good imo
Does that include the Countryside Alliance demonstrating for the return of hunting with hounds? Anti-abortionists picketing clinics? BNP supporters on a "send 'em back" march? If not, why not? They are all forms of protesting.
While I do not agree with what these people are protesting for/against. I do think a
peaceful protest is a human right.
Everyone maybe aware of the issue in Tibet and maybe I used the wrong wording. However a reminder at a festival from one peaceful protester might help the cause and if it is something you believe strongly enough to do, then do it.
Maybe the protests you mentioned are more meaningful to you but that is open to interpretation. Some people believe that a protest is about flying a flag and others may want to violently protest. The person Violently protesting might be doing it because he likes violence and the the person wearing a t-shirt might be directly involved in protesting behind the scenes (letters, websites etc..) On the other side of the fence someone might see someone violently protest and this spurs an interest and others may be put off. All forms of protesting have their merits and bad points.
All that really matters at the end of the day is that we still have a right to protest peacefully. Right?
