Except that most of the incidents alluded to by Jemo turned out to have happened after all, as you have admitted in subsequent posts once things were further clarified (e.g. the leaflet incident). You had a very different recollection of the same events, which is fair enough, but it turns out they weren't "absolute lies" after all. It seems the one specific claim that is still in dispute between you is the "council tax" comment. However, your rebuttal of this and other claims are now a matter of record, so maybe we should leave it at that.

You were "allowed" to defend yourself several times. I had no issue with that. I do have an issue with the tone of your posts and the unnecessary personal abuse towards Jemo. A simple statement that these incidents didn't happen would have sufficed.

I was standing next to Quest for his entire set pretty much doing the radio broadcast on NSB, I heard the last tune, i liked that, but didnt see anyone with flyers, or hear questy make any comments about anything - he spoke to me a few times and then went. There were several other DJs and promoters next to and inside the booth, one of which was the organiser of the room, maybe one of them was to "blame" (for something I never heard).

Admin - i dont know who you are - but you seem to of got A LOT wrong about Quest here... Quest is not full of attitude?? Spam? (never seen it) And as for him defending himself, he is not saying "im a good mixer" he's objecting to someone putting words in his mouth.

Your retaliation is unfound for here, not his.

Just listen to yourself :

I have no reason to come onto a website and lie ..... If however it was some other promoters/dj's who said it fair enough and sorry, though I am 99% certain it was you .... I remember very clearly exactly what I thought/heard/saw as I walked out the room chatting to some others ... If however it wasnt then someone must have spiked me with acid or something and I clearly must be deluded .... there was a handful left on the main dancefloor, along with me, and I clearly remember everyone being very dissapointed at you not playing another tune , and not exactly 'loving it' as you say ....

Hello, Jimmy. Yes, Admin is me when I'm using the admin account.

I can only go by Quest's posts here, all four of which are absolutely dripping with "attitude" in my opinion. The people I mentioned who chose to stay away from Quest's set are known to us both and if I revealed who they were, then you would agree that they are sound people. However, it's not for me to identify them, it's up to them to make themselves known if they wish.

Of course Quest has every right to defend himself - something which he wasn't prevented from doing in any way. I did have an issue with the tone of his posts and the unnecessary personal abuse towards Jemo. A simple statement that these incidents didn't happen would have sufficed. That's the way professionals usually conduct themselves, in my experience. His very first words on here - "whilst i never give internet trolls and shit talkers any ammunition..." - are hardly the way to win friends and influence people, now are they?

You're entitled to your opinion about my replies, of course, but I just don't see it your way at all. I also don't agree that you're being the "impartial middleman", you're quite clearly defending Quest just as I'm defending one of my board regulars. My second post may have been a bit kneejerk for your liking but I was in a hurry to get out the door to go to work. However, I don't see your point at all regarding my first post, which I feel was a model of restraint compared to what I saw as Quest's hissy fits.

I've now edited out the words that Jemo attributed to Quest (apart from things that don't seem to be in dispute any more, such as the Canterbury thing, and other things that are simply differences of opinion such as the last track). This is only fair, since Quest denies saying them and Jemo does not appear to be in a position to prove them (unless "the girl with devil horns" happens to read this and comes forward).

Can we now draw a line under this?

What I fail to understand is why Jem's comments are so significant? As you said, you had a good crowd dancing at STIR, so what does one fairly small bloke  on fairly small forum really represent? Jem's comments werent even commented on by the other members of this board, so its not like he was in the process of starting the 'lets hate Quest' club. Jem is a really good friend of mine and I hate to see him slagged off in such a vicious fashion over something so silly :(

Sorry to cut you off in mid-stream, shaky, but on reflection I think it's best to draw a line under this one now. It seems the main thing that was upsetting Quest was words being attributed to him which he says he didn't say. That's understandable enough.

I would far rather he had just said "actually, I never said that" and hadn't tried to make such a huge mountain out of a molehill but what's done is done now. I know you feel it's always best to let things run their course but I think this is one occasion where letting things drag on will only make them worse. Let's just move on.

"Move along, folks, nothing to see." ;)
