Was John Frusciante At Bangface?

Postby warrier » 08 May 2008, 12:25

Was Jon Frusciante At Bangface.
The Red Hot Chilli Peppers Guitarist.
I didnt think it looked like him until i looked at some recent press photos of him.
Someone who is a big fan swears it's him on this photo. See evidence below.

Haha, that's crazy. Even better than the picture of Aphex at one of the early Bangfaces. Sure I saw him wandering about at some point.

That first pic was taken at the front of the Bang room during Squarepusher.

:panic: :panic: what what thats fucking insane. It seems anywhere in bangface you were never more then 10 meters away from musical genius. (and that includes plenty of the hardcrew)

Whoa! Talk about Strange But True! :D

I remember seeing that dude a couple of times but it never crossed my mind that he was the Chilis' guitarist. I think I'd recognise Anthony, Chad or Flea anywhere, but then again it's not always easy to recognise people when you're not looking for them and when they're trying to just blend in.

fuck me man, that is insane. surely it's a mark of excellency on bangface's part!
i think it's fair to say it certainly attracts the crème de la crème of an audience.
i still can't believe dev/null was there too...
allthough, to be honest, at this point in time there is nothing i would be surprised to hear happened at bangface, truly. each story just adds to the same cesspool of madness.

Apparently André 3000 from Outkast is a big Squarepusher fan - how cool would it have been if he'd have been there too?

Pretty cool he was there. I once read an interview with Anthony were he was praising v snares Rossz Csillag Alatt Született album. Frusciante and Josh Klinghoffer also did an album together a few years back i think.

a metal act as a novelty would be great

exodus or nuclear assault or somebody equally thrashy (yet not too expensive) would be rockin!

plus i reckon alot of the hard crew would be partial to the odd thrashabout :upyours:

Municipal Waste would be a good one to have on - the 'singer' likes to crowdsurf on a bodyboard, which is well Hard Crew. Plus, all their songs are about getting blind drunk.

But it does have to be just the one. I know lots of people have come over to BF stuff from rock and metal - but lots more haven't. It's Bang Face, not bloody Download. ;)

Heh, it'd be better than this year's Download if there were two decent metal bands!

(per day, that is - there's actually a few bands at this year's I'd like to see, but they're spread over the whole weekend)

Edit: actually Skindred would be great - ragga metal FTW!
