Wasing at all costs?

Hello Admin ...
NO unless you can turn the sound up ...
Otherwise don't bother .
WHY O WHY play Adrian Sherwood without bass ???
Dub with no bass ???
Wasing estate is actually a beautiful set up , no doubt about that , but
charge the punters again £120 and sure enough , they 'll go somewhere else ...
Antiworld ?
BTW The Glade is a fantastic festival , guys , please sort it out !

AW can't do that again doubt if they'll recover... if it's alternatives you're after then there's lot's of smaller festivals BUT obviously a huge hole for events other than psy or commercial, maybe someone will start summat next year!

sound issues, yeah maybe but you do realise this is still the best run event out of the lot, even with the odd niggle over security (no smoke without fire?) which are usually isolated incidents

weather doesn't come into it, for a few it may stop play but they'd still have turned up, & it can't be as bad next year

personally i think it's the wrong / bangface / techno crowd spoiling it for me. it wasn't like that in 05. not that i have anything against these musics either!! it's the whole slagging match that is shocking as i always thought it was this scene (ie: glade) Vs commercial, garage & r&b - you know, our scene is about dancing & good vibes apposed to turning up at some place full of wannabe gangsters with shooters  . so yeah, leave it out, some of us don't really distinguish between the musics at glade except for some being for raving & some being for chilling, yes? and not all of us like one music & only one music, why can't we (i?) go about our business without this crap. if i stray from the overkill (or breaks, or id.spral....) & go to check out summat else i am suddenly second class citizen, wtf?

so yes i'd still go to wasing, but they need to sort the sound out.

Oh dear, it's already 12-1 in favour of Wasing after just a few hours.

Could it possibly be that the whingers and carpers are actually a very tiny, unrepresentative minority and that the silent majority don't have that big an issue with it?

keep it at wasing the site is a big part of what the makes the glade special to people who have been coming from day dot change the site and you got to build that vibe up all over again i'm sure the vast majority of people would like it to stay some people really need their ears tested sound at liquid on sat was amazing the fact that there were a few niggles is to be expected considering the weather that battered us for 12 hrs !

anyone moaning please go to antiworld next year where im sure they will putting on another "life changing event "

wasing isn't a good place for any festival.
1.Too close to houses
2.On the Kennet/Thames/etc floodplain

This means that how ever nicely it's organised it won't ever be feckin' LOUD ENOUGH!!!!

so stop messing about and sort out a site as far away from anyone else as possible so we can listen to electronic dance music as it was meant to be heard (LOUD!!!)... not easy in these crowded little islands eh

lets keep trying!

they do a few good (low key) rock fests in mid-wales. just off the central wales line in fact. locals don't seem too bothered, apart from the odd village eccentric supergrass  ... they should stick it in the mountains near builth wells! scenery would blow wasing away. obviously it rains more out there but being in the hills, drainage isn't an issue. no towns nearby with thames valley chavs, just mad local villagers! bit of a trek getting there, not convenient for the suburban chav.

had a few interupted sleeps prior to this years glade & i don't even work for 'em. i hope that next year it'll be a case of 'better the devil you know' as opposed to stepping up the opposition, more than they did this year. i like to think they've got their feet under the table by now & it will continue to grow, even being 'the alternative glasto'... maybe?
