There's also loads of random monthly nights that you won't fail to enjoy as long as you stay away from Sankeys or The Warehouse Projects as a general rule, the crowd they attract tends to leave the premises at 2am which can be a godsend after being rammed in like sheep for the last 3 hours but IMHO it shouldn't be like that to begin with. Their guests (especially TWHP) are often the most high-profile available at the time and the punters reflect that.
I have to say there's very little, if any breakcore or other similar maximum rinsing that I've found. There's the occasional one-off that Sequence do, e.g. Venetian Snares this year, but Manc doesn't really have much of a focus on it. When I start DJing I might organise something but I could almost guarantee that it would be dead.
