Whatever happened to Gladtalk/Gladetalk?

Postby PaulX » 25 Aug 2008, 00:59

Welcome to Ravetalk! :wackyhat:

For those of you who haven't been here from the beginning, this community started out on 22 October 2005 as GladeTalk, a very small forum about the Glade Festival. It expanded rapidly during 2006 and a new board, GladTalk, was born in June of that year. It generally broadened out into other subjects, especially the legendary Bang Face 'neo-rave' club nights.

Although the Glade Festival is still a HUGE part of what this board is about, I felt it needed to broaden its appeal a bit more. Bang Face has been a big boost to our community and the 'neo-rave' aspect of that was the inspiration behind Ravetalk.

James (Saint Acid) has, I feel, helped make the R word credible again after years of it being a bit sad. The 'neo-rave' aspect of BF is not simply 'tongue-in-cheek' piss-taking, as some claim, James is deadly serious about his respect for old skool rave artists alongside the modern scene. It's with that spirit in mind that I thought the next step for this website should be to celebrate rave culture past, present and future.

So it's with great pleasure that I present to you... Ravetalk. :panic:
