Who got robbed?

It's so annoying... I can't get over how it happened.. trying to work it out in my head.
it happened near welfare and oppposite rabbit hole which was where I was camped. I know who did it , but i keep trying to calculate what happened after i'd figured out the money had been taken.. it's fucking annoying...! since i caught them trying to give it back and caught them looking into the 'vent' at the back of my tent but I didn't have the guts to be confrontational .. grr..

I left a lot of my stuff in the bottom of my sleeping bag on Thurs, but then decided against it on Friday and carried everything with me all weekend. I got used to the extra bulk and ended up wearing the same clothes all weekend so it became a nice memorable routine. I made the conscious effort of only taking my wallet, phone, baccy and rizlas in a plastic bag, and my hat, everywhere I went. My keys were in my bag in my tent but so well hidden that I nearly forgot where they were.

I don't think anyone near us got robbed, but I think someone might've gone looking as my tent was strangely unzipped a couple of times. Could easily have been "one of my lot" though. We had a camp of about 15 tents so there was usually someone around (but not always) until morning when the early-to-bedders got up.

My friend lost her camera before the GT meet on Thurs and it was handed straight to security, nice one whoever that was.

On Friday morning I heard some girl near my tent screamin 'help me' so loud i actually thought I was imaging it, it was so scary but then I heard she got her bag stolen right from her and punched in the face a few times! Fuckin prick hope he got kicked around and arrested!

Yeah, that was the incident we tried to intervene, imagine hitting a lass to rob her pfffft, i'd have loved to have got my hands around his neck.

Yeah me too wat a heartless git and the poor girl sounded so terrified.

savagery. i slept curled up around my camera, anyone could try nicking it from me, and they would fail. i did worry becuase i couldnt carry all my cameras equiptment at all times - e.g. i had a masive camera bag with spare batterys/cleaning wipes/filters that i couldnt carry about, so i emptied the bag and put all the spares in unconspicuous places e.g. pockets, inside socks etc

had no problems, tent was unzipped once when i came back but as baldmosher said it could easily have been one of the many people coming in and out of my tent thouhout the weekend

Someone entered my tent at about 6am on the first night at Big Chill and was starting to unzip the inner tent when I turned round in 'bring it on' mode. I just heard a "sorry mate" and sharp exit - too sharp for me to clock his features to report him unfortunately. It looks like tent robbers are back in fashion at all the festivals again.

A couple of people with £50 spare cash in their tent and one i-pod. Crime always pays, otherwise why would anyone take the risk?

I suppose so. I was basing my flawed logic on the fact that nobody would keep cash or i-Pods in their tent. (Not that an iPod is worth much second hand anyway.)

Perhaps explains why robbers had to resort to desperation (i.e. physical assaults) to get stuff? i.e. cos there were no easy pickings, which means hopefully they'll go elsewhere on the rob next year. There never seem to be many robberies at Glade.

I'm sure there was easy pickings, most people have wised up its true but surely you know how suseptible humans are to the "it won't happen to me" way of thinking.
