Who should play Glade 2009?

Glade Festival is Britain's biggest and best non-corporate electronic dance music festival, with a proper havin' it vibe. It's 16-19 July 2009, get those dates in your diary.

Peeps who I'd like to play next year:

Main Stage:
-A special reunion show just for glade from the likes of someone like The Future Sound of London (!!!), Leftfield or Fluke would be ridiculously amazing. Not very likely I know, but we can live in hope
-BT: This binary universe continues to blow me away. Could not think of a better, possible headliner for the main stage. His live vids on youtube look out of this world, he would be absolutely PERFECT for the main stage
-Shpongle live (doing their first live show in england in oct, I'm sure glade could persuade them to do another one ;))
-4 Hero
-Cinematic Orchestra (cant believe they still havent played glade!)
-Kruder & Dorfmeister
-Koop
-Lemonjelly
-Quantic/Quantic Soul Orchestra
-Gotan Project
-Kinky
-Alpha (next years ulrich schnauss. Ridiculously beautiful chill out)
-Etro Anime
-Thievery Corporation
-A token post rock act would be cool, something like Explosions in the sky, Do make say think or even Sigur Ros if glade could afford em
-Ojos de Brujo
-Dreadzone and System 7 again (just not glade without em)

Origin/Liquid (can we please have some bloody originality next year with the psy line up please and not 75% of the same acts who played last year!!!)
-Son Kite, Tegma and Ticon are my top 3 choices for next year. Get any of them to play and I will be the happiest glader ever :)
-Also some proper goa next year would be great and would really set the psy line up apart from the rest of the psy festivals in england/europe. It could be old school like Doof, Hallucinogen, Pleiadians, Dimension 5 etc or some nu school from the likes of Suntrip: Chi A.D., Filteria, Khetzal, Ra etc
-Human Blue
-Haltya (BORN to play the liquid stage!!)
-Kiwa
-Solar Fields (trance set)
-Jaia
-The Zap!
-X-Dream
-Etnoscope
-Bigwigs

Vapour:
-D-Nox and Beckers: probably my favourite duo at the moment. Not sure where they'd be best suited (vapour, main stage, liquid?), but the most important thing is that they should most definately play!!
-A night held by cocoon records would be great, get them to send down their finest
-Alex Under
-Tiefshwarz
-Lutzenkirchen
-Anthony Rother live set perhaps (not strictly techno, but his live sets are supposed to be amazing)

Overkill:
-Hardfloor!
-Dopplereffekt (glade could still claim their first ever UK show as they didnt play at the bangface weekender ;))
-Amon Tobin
-Popof
-Extrawelt
-Memory 9 (absolutely destroyed the dance tent at big chill, would fit right in at overkill)
-KJ Sawkya again

Breaksday:
-Peshay
-High Contrast
-Hybrid (DJ Set this time)
-Hyper

In Spiral
-Aes Dana
-Solar Fields
-Phutureprimitive
-Carbon Based Lifeforms

I figure the more i write down the higher chance I have of some appearing on next year's line up!!

They did play in Glasgow not that long ago. Depends if you see Glasgow as part of he UK though.

D-nox played the liquid tent 2 years ago, it was awesome!

Son-kite played the origin stage 2 (possibly 3) years ago, that was also very good :)

MOSHIC would be something very special.

Spor yes, TC no. I saw TC at womad last weekend and he played a set of the dullest DnB I've ever heard. He was followed by marky who played an even duller set dropping two non dnb tunes which I thought were fucking original non dnb tunes to drop in a dnb set... out of space and jump around. NEVER HEARD ANY DNB DJ DROP THOSE BEFORE NOW HAVE I!

A Wee Papa Girl Rappers reunion. They'd fit right in at breaksday.

Contrary to other posts, please no BT. Glade toilets are pretty good but after him, they will risk polluting the water table.

Seriously though, if we are talking headliners, an Orbital reunion would be incredible if they have the outdoor stage back. :elvis:

I'm liking this idea, possibly in Sancho Panza rather than Vapor with all it's potential for sound issues..?

Although in theory I am 1,000,000% in agreement, I'd prefer them to get someone else equally savage for a bit of a change.

Panacea back to make up for 2007 please!

Spor or BSE or someone equally hamazing (Audio, if they do DJ sets?) would also get my vote

The decision to put Autechre on before CV was mind-numbingly astounding IMHO. A decision to the magnitude of Hitler saying "Eh Goebbels, Russia's a bit cold at this time of year isn't it, let's not bother, let's invade Turkey instead"

It was crazy, the entire hour of strobes following an entire hour of darkness nearly killed me.

The Panacea, Spor, Tech Itch or Limewax (in order of prefernce) would be my dnb brutaility votes.

It was a great decision. At Glade, because of the stupid turning down the sound after 12 nonsense, playing last isn't really headlining, it's at 11. I'm wondering if Autechre actually asked for that spot. That said Current Value was bonkers! :D
