What a dirty disgusting filthy raveup in a field that was

What made it so bad?
:)
(despite us finding it impossible on the friday night to find it ourselves and getting horrifically lost in the dark
)

Managed to swap it for his spaceman's hat at one point, legend!!
the toilets,didin't really bother me that much, there was always toilet rolls in the back ones so wasn't a problem and whilst the taps ran out all of the stall who were selling drinks were kind enough to fill up our water bottles for free when we asked. not sure what everyone was complaining bout really, there were even closer to the dance floor than the taps!!

No effort, no extras, a vast emptiness, except for the dance tents. yes i know we go for the music, but i also go for a whole lot more. A few flags out of some tatty recycling box. That was it. Nothing good to look at except the laser which didnt make it thru to sunday... Lack of seating place to make it easier to spend time in the arena when gravity failed you. No Effort. When i look at how amazing all the other festivals i have been to this year looked. What a pleasure it was to be walking around them. I know they had tight budget but some of it was miss spent for sure. I didnt want to be in that arena at all.

Sperge wrote:I do understand all these points but it does strike me that we're all getting a lot fussier about festivals nowadays. This may partly be caused by the sharp increase in ticket prices over the past few years, partly by the growing list of sound and Elfnsafety restrictions, plus maybe an element of festival fatigue?
I dunno, it's just that once upon a time Glade was the electronic dance music festival, the one that had the vibe that Glasto had lost, then that went stale for a lot of people, then Sunrise and Waveform were where it's all at. Now people are saying Sunrise@BC was a disappointment and that Waveform was an epic fail.
