Psy-trance night Halcyon has moved to The Fridge in Brixton, south London, following the closure of Matter at the O2 complex in Greenwich.

The Friday 21 May event, which will be headlined by a live Infected Mushroom set, was switched to the new venue after rumours of Matter’s troubles first emerged on the Ravetalk forums on Sunday 16 May.

A spokeswoman for Halcyon posted an announcement on Ravetalk saying: “Due to the very unfortunate circumstances of matter closing for the summer this Fridays Halcyon event has been moved to The Fridge in Brixton.

“We have toiled through the night to make alternative plans and we have secured a great venue to keep the party alive. A great sound system, the same line up and wonderful décor will be in place to keep your Friday night going good and strong.

“There are VERY limited tickets remaining due to the difference in the venue capacity and all tickets bought for Matter will be accepted on the door. Halcyon would also like to thank all of the artists and friends for helping us make this special event happen.”
